Grevys zebra

Grevys zebra

Usually found in the semi-desert areas of Ethiopia and Kenya, I photographed this proud animal at Chester Zoo.

Grevy's Zebras are endangered in the wild, Zoos world wide are working together on breeding programmes to ensure the Grevy's Zebra never becomes extinct. The lifespan in the wild can be up to 25 years, but can often be longer in zoos.
