Lioness with her new born cub

As we entered the zoo, we read signs stating that the lions may not be out due to a recent birth, but we were lucky to find the Mother taking good care of her new cub in the shade of some trees in their enclosure.

The was a huge croud watching as the cub was washed by the lioness, and also had a play. Even a camera crew were there to catch the moment.
